Step by step

This morning the team at NEMMS JV further celebrated NAIDOC with a tour of Kings Park with Olman Walley of Boorloo Aboriginal Cultural Experiences. Clients, Suppliers, staff and their families were invited to participate in this walking tour through Kings Park.

We learnt about the native plants and animals to the area and how the Noongar people traditionally lived, moving as the seasons changed to best support their needs for hunting and gathering local bushtucker. Olman presented traditional songs and showed us some of the instruments used for hunting and storytelling.

NEMMS JV are proud to support local businesses and value their skills and expertise in teaching us about the land on which we live and work. Taking the time to take a different view of our city and the surrounds is valuable to all of our team members.

It has been a great couple of weeks at NEMMS JV as our NAIDOC celebrations have highlighted great team work and collaboration with our clients, staff, suppliers and cultural business partners. We look forward to more opportunities for cultural engagement with local people in all the areas in which we work across Western Australia.
