Rising Stars

NEMMS JV were proud to be a finalist in the WA Business News Rising Stars awards Tuesday night at the Government House Ballroom. The Rising Stars Awards provide an annual platform to showcase organisations that have sustained solid rates of growth.

We were runners up in the Indigenous Business Category and we would like to extend our congratulations to our friends at Wungening Aboriginal Corporation who took the award in this category.

Wungening Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation which provides culturally secure, confidential and free of charge alcohol and drug services to Aboriginal people in the Perth metropolitan area. They also manage Wooree Miya Women’s Refuge, a short-term crisis accommodation service for women and children escaping family and domestic violence or other crisis.

It was NEMMS JV’s first nomination in the Rising Stars Awards and the team were pleased to be part of a diverse group of WA organisations promoting growing WA businesses.

It has been a busy week at NEMMS JV with our partners travelling down to also meet for our Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group meeting and we look forward to sharing this with you in the next blog.
