Project Wrapped Up

NEMMS JV successfully completed our project at Hope Downs this month. The site is located approximately 45km north of Newman. Our challenge was to rehabilitate 20 ha of borrow pits once used to build the Waste Fines Storage Facility (WFSF).

Activities involved the shaping, contouring and rehabilitation of old borrow pits and drilling exploration dams. Areas are shallow ripped and seeded using native seeds collected from the local area. The job was small in nature involving only 2 pieces of equipment (D8T with the Seeder and 4×4 service truck on site). The Bung family, Directors of NEMMS JV, own the Precision Direct Seeder, a machine commissioned in 2017 specifically to address rehabilitation needs once mine activity has ceased. The initial 20ha took about 3 weeks to complete.

Good work team!

As 2019 comes to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy and safe holiday season. We look forward to sharing more of our Projects with you in 2020.
