Plan into action

Over the last few weeks we have been busy with our partners, preparing for our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) working group meeting. This important meeting allowed us to reflect on the successes of our first two-year RAP and to reflect on the setting new goals for our next plan. We are proud of all of our achievements, but our success in our Indigenous employment participation and the rapid growth of Indigenous Businesses on our supply chain were highlights!

Over the last 2 years, we have built our National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC week events to become part of our calendar across our business, allowing us to highlight awareness of our RAP and our actions to both internal and external stakeholders. This process never ends and will be a continuing theme in our second RAP.

We intend our next RAP to push us to further our cultural learning through increased opportunities for cultural immersion experiences. We would like to use our diverse working group to support activities across WA and capitalise on the strengths in the group to create strategies to support the cultural development of our staff and clients.

An important part of the agenda was to endorse the draft of our next RAP. We hope to publish this later in collaboration with Reconciliation Australia.

Looking forward we are excited to be heading into NAIDOC week with activities planned across all our sites. We look forward to working with our clients and sharing experiences across our workforce.
