Joining forces

Last month we celebrated our partners joining us in Perth for our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group Meeting. This meeting brought our NEMMS JV partners together with our Goomarin JV and Mata Kurlu JV partners to review our plan. During the course of the meeting, we recognised our achievements in the first year of the delivery of our RAP and we started planning for 2018/19. It was an opportunity to discuss how we would like to work together to deliver on our plan.

NEMMS JV believes that reconciliation is an ongoing journey that requires our constant attention as to what respect, relationships and opportunities mean to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We are working to ensure Reconciliation is alive in our organisation and the broader community through our efforts to increase understanding and appreciation, being accountable as partners and taking action with responsibility for change.

We are looking forward to celebrating National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC week and capitalising on the skills of our partners to deliver events and outcomes throughout our sites and into the community over the next 12 months.
