Cyclone aftermath

We had a busy week last week in the wake of Cyclone Damien, NEMMS JV’s Operations Manager Jason Gore shared the activities post cyclone:

“The Dampier teams bunkered down for cyclone Damien, which caused wide spread destruction across the Region.

We mobilised once the all clear was given to assist our clients and residents.

One of our crews concentrated their efforts on clearing roads around the client’s site assisting in making areas safe for the return of personnel.

The team at the ports and rail have been assisting with untying and make areas safe, ahead of the resumption of activities.

Collectively, we have also been assisting the shire to clear debris from in and around schools and parks in Dampier to get the community back to normality.”

We are proud of all our teams’ efforts in responding to emergency situations like these ensuring the safety of all our staff as well as minimising the disruption to our clients’ production by following protocols for cyclone situations. It is great that we were then on hand to assist our clients and the local community in the clean-up.
